Most people live their lives with blinders on. That is, most of us don’t stop to appreciate what lies just outside our narrow vision of a goal. While these blinders keep us focused, they prohibit us from appreciating the beauty of everyday life. A goal isn’t solely about the end result. Accomplishment requires acknowledgement of the scenery and obstacles along the way. The true feeling of achieving a goal comes from the journey.
Writing is a difficult process for me. Not only am I a slow writer, but writing represents the lack of presence, so by writing this I’m not really here… Paging Dr. Lacan!
“For the signifier is a unit in its very uniqueness, being by nature symbol only of an absence.” -Jacques Lacan
This blog is an attempt to improve my writing pace and skills, as well as a record of what lies just outside the narrow vision of my goals as I make this journey we call life.
Thanks for stumbling on my life!
